Peachtree & Bennett Auctions

Our monthly auctions, which occur on the second Saturday of every month beginning at 6:00pm, are conveniently held at our prime location beside the Atlanta Expo Center, also known as the Scott Antique Market.  Location and Conatact info>>>  All merchandise is in-house and available for viewing, as well as being featured in a descriptive full-color auction catalogue. Adding to the enjoyment of the evening, we offer an open bar and a complimentary buffet to registered bidders.

Previews include every item to be auctioned and are held for as many as three days prior to the auction. Our knowledgeable staff is on hand to educate prospective buyers about items of interest and help them make an informed decision about their bids. The registration process is free and easy, requiring only a photo ID. A registration form can be obtained at the desk. You will be assigned a bidding number for each sale, and all purchases will be recorded under this number.

Our buying options far exceed the standard auction house criteria and serve to meet every buyer’s preferred format, including auction and online presentation for buyers who cannot attend in person. We hold live auctions at 6pm on the second Saturday of each month at the Scott Antique Market. If you would like to bid on an item but cannot attend the auction, we offer phone or absentee bidding. You can also bid on our auction items online through third-party online auctions, but the fees are often higher.

You will see and learn about beautiful objects from around the world, while enjoying complimentary food, wine, and spirits. What is the buyer’s premium for successful absentee and phone bids? 2017-09-19T19:04:08+00:00

18% percent per lot, regardless of your method of payment. In other words, we do not offer any discount for payment by cash or check. There is an additional 3% fee for credit card payments.

What is the difference between a phone bid and an absentee bid? 2017-09-19T19:03:16+00:00

In phone bidding, one of our agents will be on the line with you during the live auction and will relay your bids to the auctioneer. In absentee bidding, you will inform us of your bidding instructions ahead of time and your bids will be relayed to the auctioneer.

How do I place a phone bid? 2017-09-19T19:02:26+00:00

Simply complete the electronic bid form (without the Max Bid Amount), note the lot numbers you are interested in, provide us with two good phone numbers where you can be reached, and submit the form on the site, or via email or fax.

There are three different methods for submitting an absentee bid. Choose the one that is best for you.

    If you wish to bid directly with the gallery, you may submit an electronic bid form.
    Fill out the required fields, review your information, and submit it via the web.
    Note: A gallery member will contact you to confirm the bids. If you do not hear from us within 24 hours, please contact us at 678-705-9798, ext 3.
    Our new mobile app (download here) allows absentee bids, though at a higher percentage than using our absentee bid forms
    Forms can be downloaded here. Print and fill it out and return to us via email at or by fax at 678-705-8553. We will do our best to accommodate your bids, even during the auction; however, we cannot guarantee processing time.

Peachtree & Bennett will send an invoice via email (if available). We make a strong effort to communicate with successful bidders as early as the Sunday following the sale. If we don’t have an email on file, a gallery representative will get in contact via phone. If you do not hear from us, please call us!

The buyer’s premium for live online bids is 23%. Please keep in mind that while it is very convenient to bid live online, it could be slightly more expensive than absentee or phone bidding (note link these to the relevant sections).

We do not offer in-house shipping; however, we have a list of preferred shippers who can assist with quotes, pick up, packing, and shipping of your purchases. For details and recommendations, see packing and shipping information.

Can I leave absentee bids through Invaluable or Liveauctioneers? 2017-09-19T18:44:54+00:00

Yes. Bids taken place through these online venues are subject to a much higher buyer’s premium and are executed via the computer at the time of the auction. To avoid these higher fees, you can submit your absentee bids directly to Peachtree & Bennett.

Which Payment Methods do you Accept? 2017-09-19T18:44:11+00:00

The following payment methods are accepted:

  • All major credit cards for an additional 3% (American Express, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover). You may submit a completed credit card authorization form via fax at 678-705-8553. In an effort to protect your card information, we will not process any credit card information provided to us via electronic correspondence.
  • Checks payable to Peachtree & Bennett. (We do not accept checks sent by mail.)
  • PayPal
  • Wire Transfers: Information can be provided upon request. Please keep in mind that there is a fee of $15 for domestic transfers.
